About Our Church Property
We were blessed on November 17, 1972, when we purchased our
church property at 5209 Lillian Avenue. We paid off the second deed of trust
one year later on November 19, 1973. Our pastor saw the need to grow our Sunday
school, so in 1974, we purchased a bus to transport children to and from Sunday School, along with
many other members who needed transportation to church activities.
Renovations
On July 12, 1975, our pastor saw the
need for a baptismal pool and the church paid for it on that day. Our
membership continued to grow at such a rapid pace we had to build a larger
choir loft, and we began remodeling our church on July 25, 1975.
On October 18 of 1974, we became charter members of the Missouri State Camp Development. Several renovations followed to meet the demands of our growing ministry, including replacing the boiler with a new furnace in August of 1975 and ordering new carpets in February of 1976. In 1980, there were two new instruments purchased for our church, and on May 23, 1980, the mortgage was paid in full.

A New Church
As the church continued to grow, there
was a need for a larger sanctuary, so the search was on! After an extensive
search and much prayer, we acquired our present church property. On July 14,
1985, Dr. E G. Shields, Sr., led the Mount Beulah Baptist Church from 5209
Lillian Avenue to 7823 Racine Drive ,
Hanley Hills, Missouri.
Our present location has a seating capacity of approximately 1,200, an executive board room, and a three-story educational building with a modern kitchen and dining area. This complex also consists of an early childhood education ministry. The early childhood program operates under the name Mount Beulah Christian Academy, which was birthed in July of 1985.
The Rev. Bobby L. Shields served as the director and worked hard to build a strong Christian day care academy. After several years of successful work, he left to advance his career as a teacher and principal in the public school system. At that time, Rev. E.G. Shields, Jr., was appointed by the pastor as the administrator of the Mount Beulah Christian Academy. He has broadened the vision and scope of the academy to include:
• Abeka Book Curriculum (for children 6 weeks to 15 years old)• Computer Literacy Training
• Before & After-School Care
• Director• Receptionist
• Janitor
• Classroom Teachers
In November of 2005, Rev. E. G. Shields, Jr. was appointed by the pastor and elected by the church as co-pastor of the Mount Beulah Missionary Baptist Church.
