Inspirational Christian Baptist Church
At Mount Beulah Missionary Baptist Church of St. Louis,
Missouri, we are seeking to
evangelized and minister to as many members of our community as possible. We
are believers and practitioners of Luke 14:23…And the lord said
unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be
filled. Our goal is to lead lost souls to Christ.
Church History
Under the leadership of the
late Rev. L. H. Bell, Sr., Mount Beulah was organized in the Christ
Zion Water Tower Baptist Church, with the Pastor Rev. Samuel F. Rabun, acting
as moderator. The church was organized with
23 members, who all voted unanimously to name the church Mount Beulah
Missionary Baptist Church, the name
was offered by our present pastor Dr. E.G. Shields, Sr.
Since Mount Beulah did not have a church home, the congregation continued to worship with the Christ Zion Tower Church for one month. The Lord led our late pastor, Rev. L.H. Bell, Sr., to 5209 Lillian Avenue, where we marched in on July 11, 1971. This was truly a day to remember.

Great Accomplishments
Pastor Rev. L.H. Bell, Sr., accomplished a lot in that one
year at Mount Beulah. The church became a chartered member of the Missouri
Progressive Missionary Baptist State Convention. Before Rev. Bell's health
began to fail, he would always say, "If anything should happen to me, go
get Shields." When his health failed and
the Lord saw fit to call him home to rest on March 13, 1972. Rev. Bell's
request was honored and on the first Sunday in May 1972, Rev. E G. Shields, Sr., began his pastorate.
The Lord ordained the work of our new leader, and under his leadership our membership grew to more than 600. In 1972, we began what has become our Annual Summer Youth Program. This program provides a safe haven for local youth where they can escape from the dangerous streets during the summer months.
