First Lady Gracie Shields serves as the President of the Mt. Beulah Ministers’Wives and DeaconessAuxiliary, Chairman of the Orientation Committee, Co-Chairman of the Sick Committee, and the 2nd Vice President for the Minister Wives and Widows Department of the St. Louis Progressive Missionary Baptist District Association. She is a member of the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) and member of the Ministers’ Wives and Widows’ Department of the Missouri Progressive Baptist State Convention.
She has taken self-improvement classes from Forest Park, Meramec, and Florissant Valley Community Colleges, among the many classes taken was public speaking. She has many years of Christian education and experience as a student of the Berean District Association Annual Leadership School and the St. Louis Progressive District Congress of Christian Education. She completed the course in Behavioral Excellence Search Training (B.E.S.T.) taught by the late Dr. E. Stanley Howlett.
She is a recipient of several certificates in Old and New Testament Studies from Mt. Beulah Bible Institute. She is presently enrolled in Western Baptist Bible College.
She retired in February, 2012 from US Bank after 27 years of service as a Notary, Attorney Analyst, and Bankruptcy Specialist. She is a great orator, enjoys public speaking and is a certified teacher of Baptist Training Union and Sunday School.
First Lady Gracie Shields enjoys her family, friends, church, and travels extensively with her husband, Rev. Dr. E. G. Shields, Sr.
